WE EMPOWER OTHERS TO ENJOY A LIFE FILLED WITH BOUNDLESS HEALTH AND WELLNESS. TRUE WELLNESS IS ONLY ACHIEVED AND MAINTAINED BY FULLY UNDERSTANDING ONE'S HOME, WORK OR SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTS. OUR UNIQUE HEALING JOURNEYS AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUNDS HAVE LED US TO AN UNWAVERING GRASP ON THE PHYSICAL, MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, SPIRITUAL, AND ENERGETIC FACETS OF HEALING.
After enduring a prolonged environmental exposure that perplexed numerous medical experts, Co-Founder JoAnna Elliott was afflicted with various health conditions and diagnoses. She sought to restore her health by becoming her own best advocate and learned first hand how a ones' built environment can impact health.
As both a Certified Professional Building Biology Environmental Consultant (BBEC) and Healthy Materials and Sustainable Design Advisor, with a lifelong real estate career in property development, renovations, and sales, JoAnna provides consulting services on existing homes, remodels and new construction to help others achieve and reclaim healthful conditions. Her mission is to assist others in attaining and sustaining healthy conditions. She also consults with those impacted by health issues to provide Patient Advocacy support, a crucial aspect that is overlooked by the medical community.

Co-Founder, Rosa Ferro is more than just a designer; she's a creative force transforming homes into sanctuaries of wellness and beauty. With a background rooted in her own healing journey and transformative power of Feng Shui, Rosa has gently guided her work in integrative design, blending aesthetics with vibrant vitality.
Her eye for color and energy is unmatched—whether she's working with soothing neutrals or vibrant palettes, every hue is chosen with the well-being of the occupants in mind. As a Certified Healthy Materials Design Advisor and Feng Shui Consultant, Rosa marries ancient wisdom with modern design principles, creating spaces where energy flows freely and beauty thrives.
Rosa grew up in Southern California and has a Costa Rican heritage which infuses her work with the country's ethos of "Pura Vida" - a warm and joyful sense of well-being. Her rich background in real estate finance, seamlessly weaves wealth-building strategies into her projects, ensuring that her designs are not only beautiful but also meaningful investments. Her passion for fostering prosperity now intersects with her mission to create healthier living and working environments.
Since founding Nurtured Nests with her partner JoAnna, Rosa has had the joy of working with families looking to create healthier homes, as well as doctors, healers, and wellness experts who want their spaces to reflect their commitment to harmony and health. Together, they’ve earned a reputation as “the healer’s designer,” transforming lives one space at a time with their healthy, nurturing design.
For the past 20 years, Rosa has called the Santa Monica Mountains home, where she enjoys living in the beauty of nature with her husband and their lively 14-year-old twins.
